Qatar, France launch initiative to provide aid to Gaza Strip

Qatar and France, on the sidelines of the visit currently being conducted by His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to Paris, launched an initiative for cooperation in the field of humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian civilians trapped in the Gaza Strip.

In implementation of the cooperation initiative, three planes belonging to the Qatari Armed Forces arrived in the city of Al-Arish in the sister Arab Republic of Egypt on Tuesday, carrying 75 tonnes of humanitarian aid, including 10 ambulances, shelter supplies, and food supplies, provided by the State of Qatar and the French Republic, in preparation for transporting it to Gaza.
